For men 33* years or older, as of December 31st, 2010 who live or work in Guelph or surrounding communities.

The Guelph Men's Recreational Slo-Pitch League was started in 1975 as a recreational men's league for players of all abilities. From a start of just 6 teams, the league last year had 32 teams with 16 teams playing on Tuesday nights and 16 on Thursdays. We will be starting our 34th consecutive year of league slo-pitch play in early May and we'd like you to join.

This is a great way to spend an evening a week in the park, rekindling your youthful exuberance, and making new friends. Many of our members review the highlights of their game over refreshments and munchies afterwards.

As a returning player, ensure your spot by getting your registration in on time.

Again this year, consider bringing a friend or relative into the league. If you submit both registrations together you can request placement on the same team. Only one friend/relative per returning player will be considered. Please ensure you highlight this request in the space provided on your registration form and return both forms together with two cheques.

For 2009, we will add a further incentive for returning members to actively recruit new members. New registrants will have an option to name an existing member who recommended the league. Each naming of a past member will result in the name being added to a draw. A single name will be randomly drawn at the opening stag for a prize of the value of the registration fees.

Your fees include a new team shirt, Opening Night Stag, 15 regular season games, June Tournament & Family Picnic, August ‘lottery’ Tournament, minimum of 3 playoff games and an End of Season Dinner/Stag, Awards and Banquet.

All returning players will be guaranteed a team if applications are received prior to the deadline. New players enrolling will be assigned teams on a first come basis. Once the league is full, new applicants will be placed on a waiting list.

1. You are welcome to drop off your registration with your payment at this address:

2. You can now fill in the application form on-line and submit it electronically. Then following the submission, you can mail in or drop off your payment to the same above address. This method will help us determine if a full on-line registration (submission and payment) should come in the next season or two.

APPLICATIONS
Print all information clearly and include a cheque or money order for $150.00 payable to "Guelph Slo-Pitch League". (Please no cash or post-dated cheques). Cheques will be cashed upon receipt for all returning players. Selection of night is firm, changes could result in the player being put on the waiting list. New players will be accepted into the league in order of date the application was received. Teams will be selected by computer in early April, and you will be contacted by your team rep after the April team rep. league meeting.

REFUND POLICY
Within the first two weeks, full refund will be given if your team shirt is returned. $100.00 if the team shirt is NOT returned. There will be no refunds after second week of league play.

NEW PLAYER POLICY
If entering the league part way through the season, the cost will be prorated, based on the join date.
